Conu® tapered nuts are self-locking nuts that can be fitted tool-free. The design enables the nut to be fully recessed into the workpiece.

Note
The mating bevel should comply with DIN 74, Style F. The locking serrations cause the nut to lock in the matching countersink due to the larger angle of the nut (α) compared to the countersink (90°). The clamping force increases as the nut is further tightened into the bevel. This prevents the connection from coming loose unintentionally.
Style S is suitable for screws with quality class 8.8.
Style L is suitable for screws with quality class 10.9.
Style S is suitable for screws with quality class 8.8.
Style L is suitable for screws with quality class 10.9.
